Yeah, it's been pointed out that my last journal was about 2 years ago, more like a year and a half.

So, let's see... My so-called "novel" was placed upon indefinate hold, and my posting of my fairy tale went unnoticed.

So here's a neat journal for me to really post. On gaia, i use these things as a form of ranting, but right now, i've got little to do. Spring breaks' ending, and while I'm waiting for my parents to come see me (8am, how hard is it to make it?)... Yeah, i'm feelin' the need to go to Blackjack slim's Cutthroat Inn pretty quick.

It made sense on why you used the characters you did, even though I think others will probably claim that your choices are rather 'old'. But then again, the entire justice league is over 40 years old, so I think you nailed the essence, personally.

Actually I was expecting much more resistance for the exact reasons you mentioned, but for the most part the overwhelming majority of comments have been in agreement with me. I'm very happy about that. Glad you like it!
